Dimitris Polygenis - CAPDM Board Chair, McKesson Canada

Dimitris Polygenis is Senior Vice President, Pharmaceutical Distribution & Operations at McKesson Canada.

Mr. Polygenis joined McKesson Canada in 2004, after the acquisition of Phase 4 Health. This acquisition led to the creation of our Specialty group. Under the leadership of Dimitris Polygenis, the group expanded its services to become our fastest growing business offering a wide range of services to manufacturers. Mr. Polygenis was appointed to his current role in 2014.

Prior to joining McKesson Canada, Mr. Polygenis held a position with the Ontario Round Table on Appropriate Prescribing (ORTAP) at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Ontario (ICES). He is currently Lecturer and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and University of British Columbia Doctor of Pharmacy Programs and Board Chair of a not-for-profit educational institution.

Mr. Polygenis holds a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Toronto.

Daniel Chiasson, CAPDM

Daniel Chiasson is the President & CEO of CAPDM. Daniel works closely with the Board of Directors to implement a strategic direction that aligns with its vision of ensuring safe, secure, and timely access to high quality healthcare products for all Canadians.

Daniel is a senior executive with supply chain expertise and proven leadership in driving growth, profitability, and collaboration within the healthcare and food & beverage industry sectors. Prior to joining CAPDM, Daniel served as Vice President, Supply Solutions at McKesson Canada. Daniel has held senior executive roles at Shoppers Drug Mart, Cardinal Health Canada and MDS Inc.

Daniel holds a Master of Business Administration degree, from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, and a B. Mgmt. Sc., from the University of Ottawa.

Matthew Frisch, Kohl & Frisch Limited

Matthew Frisch is Vice President of Corporate Development at Kohl & Frisch Limited, where he focuses on driving the company’s strategic planning and new business development initiatives. Matthew’s work at K&F spans multiple departments and regional markets, with the objective of delivering corporate growth balanced with prudent fiscal management.

Most recently, Matthew helped to lead K&F’s 2013 purchase of AmerisourceBergen Canada Corporation, during which he was an integral part of the acquisition team with a wide range of responsibilities ranging from financial planning and analysis to corporate communications and operational integration.

Originally from Toronto, Matthew pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania before completing a Master’s degree in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Columbia University. Prior to joining K&F, Matthew worked in the structured finance department of Sumitomo Mitsui in New York City and as a Consultant to the World Bank in Washington DC.

Ron Frisch, Kohl & Frisch Limited

Ron Frisch is the owner, President and CEO of Kohl & Frisch Limited.

Kohl & Frisch Limited is an independent, family owned business established in 1916. Ron Frisch became its Chief Executive Officer in 1989. He also accepted the positions of President & Managing Director in 2001. Mr. Frisch is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BCom from the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and a four-time appointed Chairman of the Board for CAPDM. Ron Frisch is active in the community and is involved in many charity and educational endeavours.

Kohl & Frisch Limited is the only Canadian-owned national full-line distributor.

Tanya Moore, Shoppers Drug Mart Inc.

Tanya Moore is Vice President, Pharmaceutical Partnerships, Shoppers Drug Mart Inc.

Tanya Moore has spent the last fifteen years in the healthcare sector, specifically with Shoppers Drug Mart. Occupying many senior roles, Tanya has gained valuable insights into procurement, distribution, operations, insurance, strategy and pricing. Harnessing this broad background, Tanya brings a deep understanding of the pharmacy supply chain to her role on the CAPDM board.

Erik Prieditis, Bayer Canada (Pharmaceuticals)

Erik Prieditis is Vice President, Commercial Operations, Bayer Canada.  As key a member of the Bayer Pharmaceutical Leadership Team he enables the General Medicine and Specialty Medicine organizations to achieve their goals through the following areas of responsibilities; trade relations, sales operations, customer insights & analytics, and sales force development. 

Prior to Bayer, Erik was at Allergan where he was the Executive Director of Business Insights and Commercial Excellence, leading a large multi-function international team spanning Canada and Latin America. Other key roles involved leading supply chain, commercial operations, and sales & marketing operations.  

Erik spent his early career within the high-tech sector at Nortel Networks with roles in customer operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and process engineering.

Erik has been a member of CAPDM since 2003. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queens University, holds Professional Engineering and Certified Financial Planner designations, and is now completing his MBA. 
 

Michel Robidoux, Sandoz Canada

Michel Robidoux is President and General Manager for Sandoz Canada since 2010 and has more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical-medical device industry.

He originally joined Sandoz Canada as Vice-President, Sales in 2008. Before joining Sandoz/Novartis, Mr. Robidoux occupied, for more than 10 years,  the position of Vice-President at Roche for different business units within the company such as Diabetes Care, Professional Diagnostics, Molecular Diagnostics and also Applied Science. Prior to Roche, he worked at Bayer for 7 years in various sales and marketing positions.

He is an active contributor to the industry as a member of the Canadian Generic Pharmaceutical Association and is on the Board of Governor for the Pierre Boucher Hospital Foundation.

Mr. Robidoux holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Université du Québec in Montréal.

David Simmonds, McKesson Canada

David Simmonds is McKesson Canada’s Senior Vice-President, Communications and Public Affairs. David leads communications, external affairs, media relations, government relations, event marketing, and strategic partnerships for McKesson’s business units in Canada.

Most recently, David was Vice-President Enterprise Strategy and Chief of Staff to McKesson Corporation’s Executive Vice-President, Corporate Strategy and Business Development. In this role, David led the Coordination Office responsible for the development of McKesson's enterprise strategic plan, M&A opportunity evaluation, and the execution of cross business unit initiatives.

David serves as President of Alumni Western - Western University's global alumni network; Vice Chair of Action Against Hunger Canada; a Director of the Canadian Club of Toronto; and, is a Government of Ontario appointee to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre Board of Directors.

A graduate of Western University, David holds a Master’s in Communication and Media Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
 

John Targett, uniPHARM Wholesale Drugs Ltd.

John Targett, Director Purchasing & Distribution, is a skilled senior manager with expertise in Inventory Management Systems, Logistics, Purchasing and Business Intelligence. As a key member of the executive team with uniPHARM Wholesale Drugs, John oversees all areas of purchasing and distribution and is responsible for the operation of the member owned distribution center that ships products each day to independent pharmacies throughout BC, AB, and YT.

uniPHARM Wholesale Drugs Ltd. has been recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed companies and has been a Platinum member for the past 4 years.

Today, John is also actively involved in numerous strategic initiatives and has a broad range of experience in various areas of logistics, purchasing and operations.  He continues to serve on multiple CAPDM committees with other industry colleagues to improve the distribution of products to Canadians.

Kevin West, Innomar Strategies

Kevin West is Vice President, Operations, Innomar Strategies. Kevin joined Innomar Strategies in 2008.  With over 25 years of experience in the Canadian healthcare and insurance industries, Kevin started HealthForward in 2012, and leads a team of 70 associates focused on optimizing health outcomes and access to therapy for patients while helping payers and plan sponsors achieve long-term sustainability in their drug plans.

Before starting HealthForward, Kevin led various divisions at Innomar, including Consulting, Pharmacy, Distribution, Government Relations, Strategic Partnerships, New Business Development and Marketing.  Prior to joining Innomar, Kevin spearheaded many innovative and ground-breaking initiatives that have shaped the delivery of healthcare in Canada.  He implemented Canada’s first electronic prescription claims adjudication system and launched a fully-integrated adjudication software.  He also led the first US owned long-term care pharmacy in Canada.   

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University.
