Daniel Chiasson - CAPDM Chair of the Board, Kohl & Frisch Limited

Daniel Chiasson is Senior Vice President, Manufacturer Relations and Regulatory Affairs at Kohl & Frisch. He provides strategic guidance on managing a wide range of product categories, and ensures compliance with Health Canada’s GMP regulations applied to wholesalers and distributors. Daniel is a trusted advisor to both internal and external stakeholders, and is Kohl & Frisch’s principal contact with federal and provincial governmental bodies.

Daniel is a senior executive with deep supply chain expertise and proven leadership in driving growth, profitability, and collaboration within the healthcare and food and beverage industry sectors. Prior to joining Kohl & Frisch in 2022, Daniel was CAPDM's President and Chief Executive Officer from 2018, and earlier served in executive roles at McKesson Canada, Shoppers Drug Mart, Cardinal Health Canada, and MDS Inc.

Daniel holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Management Sciences from the University of Ottawa.

Manasi Kulkarni - CAPDM Vice Chair of the Board, McKesson Canada

Manasi Kulkarni is Senior Vice President, Specialty Health and Manufacturer Partnerships at McKesson Canada. In her current role, Manasi is responsible for leading overall product and manufacturer strategy for McKesson Canada, with particular focus on driving increased value and mutual growth with our brand pharma manufacturer partners. She also leads the advancement of our Specialty Health offering, working closely with providers and manufacturing partners to improve health outcomes through the delivery of data-driven and patient-focused products and services that make complex care more accessible.

Prior to this, Manasi was Senior Vice President of Strategy and Communications responsible for overseeing McKesson Canada’s corporate strategy, business development, and data analytics transformation activities, as well as all aspects of corporate communications for our Canadian businesses. Previously, Manasi held various senior strategy, marketing and IT leadership roles at Rexall Pharmacy Group and Shoppers Drug Mart. Manasi started her career at Monitor Group, now Monitor Deloitte, consulting across media & publishing, manufacturing and natural resources as before entering healthcare.  

Manasi holds an MBA from Queen's University and an HBA from the University of Western Ontario. 

Sammy Lee, Imperial Distributors Canada Inc.

Sammy Lee is the General Manager of Imperial Distributors Canada Inc., where he is responsible for leading the company’s strategic direction and overseeing pharmaceutical distribution to pharmacies throughout Western Canada. Drawing on his extensive background in retail pharmacy operations, merchandising, technology implementation, labour relations, contract negotiations, and industry partnerships, Sammy plays a pivotal role in the company’s continued growth and innovation. In this position, he oversees sales, finance, procurement, IT, and operations. By cultivating and leading highly engaged teams, Sammy has successfully expanded warehouse capacity and efficiency, improved inventory management, and upgraded enterprise systems.
 
Sammy is both a Pharmacist and Chartered Professional Accountant, holding a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from UBC, an MBA from Queen’s University, and a Credential of Leadership, Impact, and Management in Business (CLIMB) certificate from Harvard Business School Online. His professional involvement includes serving on the GS1 Canada Healthcare Board, a member with the BC Pharmacy Association, and a past chair of the College of Pharmacists of BC Inquiry Committee.

Karl Frank, Bayshore Specialty Rx

Karl Frank, RPh BSc. Pharm, is Executive Managing Director at Bayshore Specialty Rx. Karl has been leading the Bayshore Specialty Rx business since 2011. He is a results-driven pharmacy executive with a proven track record of success in providing leadership and vision over a comprehensive array of business initiatives and vendor negotiations. He has extensive expertise in all aspects of the retail and specialty pharmacy business, including: pharmacy technology, legislation, risk management, pharmacy workflow design, labour management, clinical program development, pharmacy acquisitions, medical clinic development, vendor management and negotiation, marketing, and operations. 

Over the years, he has built a strong network of relationships and partnerships in the North American Healthcare industry. 

Karl has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and is a member of the Ontario Pharmacists Association and British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario Colleges of Pharmacists; a board member of the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management (CAPDM); is a past chair of the Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada; and has been inducted into the Canadian Healthcare Marketing Hall of Fame.

Tanya Moore, Shoppers Drug Mart Inc.

Tanya Moore is Vice President of Healthcare Businesses at Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. Tanya has spent the last fifteen years in the healthcare sector, specifically with Shoppers Drug Mart. Occupying many senior roles, Tanya has gained valuable insights into procurement, distribution, operations, insurance, strategy, and pricing. Harnessing this broad background, Tanya brings a deep understanding of the pharmacy supply chain to her role on the CAPDM board as well as being a standing member on the GS1 Healthcare Pharmacy Board.

Angelique Berg, CAPDM

Angelique Berg is President & CEO of CAPDM. She is a business development leader harnessing over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and not-for-profit health sectors. Angelique brings expertise in revenue growth, government and stakeholder relations, and strategic communications at the executive level of leading health organizations, including the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation, Diabetes Canada, and Hypertension Canada.

In addition to building high performing teams and creating award-winning programs, she has a proven track record in driving sustainable growth and innovation to inspire change. Angelique has served on multi-sector collaborations that accelerated health care system and patient care improvements, including the Wait Times Alliance, the Bone and Joint Decade Canada, Health Quality Ontario’s Hypertension Quality Standard Advisory Committee, and Health Canada’s Multi-Stakeholder Committee on Drug Shortages.

She also served on the board of the Best Medicines Coalition, and for over 10 years as a member of the Health Charities Coalition of Canada.

Peter Bromley, Andlauer Healthcare Group

Peter Bromley is Chief Financial Officer at Andlauer Healthcare Group. Peter joined AHG in 2019 after a 25-year career with UPS Supply Chain Solutions. He began his UPS career by joining the finance team of Livingston, Inc. – a private Canadian logistics provider which was acquired by UPS in 2000. In the following years, Peter served as Vice President of Operations in Canada for UPS before relocating to Europe in 2005. There, he managed various functions for the logistics and distribution product for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In 2009, he began to focus on the first healthcare clients in UPS Europe’s inaugural healthcare distribution centre and would continue on to become Managing Director for UPS Supply Chain Solutions back in Canada.

Peter is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

Guy Payette, Innomar Strategies

Guy Payette is President of Innomar Strategies and Biopharma Services North America, Cencora. In 2001, Guy had a vision of changing the specialty pharmaceutical marketplace and he created Innomar—Innovative Market Access. The result of his commitment to helping patients navigate the Canadian healthcare system was the first integrated model for specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers. Today, Guy is the president of Innomar Strategies and Biopharma Services North America, Cencora, which includes HealthForward, and Cameron Stewart LifeScience, and is an expert in the Canadian specialty pharmaceutical commercialization journey.
 
Guy leads the team of over 5,000 associates across North America who are focused on delivering customized commercialization solutions to pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device manufacturers. In 2009, he led the acquisition of Innomar to AmerisourceBergen, further broadening its capabilities and global network. In 2012, he started HealthForward, a company focused on optimizing health outcomes and access to therapy for patients while helping payers and plan sponsors achieve long-term sustainability in their drug plans. Before founding Innomar, Guy spent 12 years with Boehringer Ingelheim in senior sales, market access, marketing, and government relations roles.
 
With 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Guy’s insight on emerging issues in the Canadian healthcare environment provide guidance for policy makers and other industry stakeholders. Throughout his career, Guy has been a champion for improved access to medication for Canadian patients.

Ray Shelley, Apotex Canada

Ray Shelley is President of Apotex Canada. With nearly 30 years of service at Apotex, he is responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for all market segments in Canada while expanding Apotex’ presence within the Canadian healthcare industry.

Throughout his career at Apotex, Ray has held various positions in Sales and Marketing, progressively taking on more senior roles. Before assuming his current position as President, Ray was in charge of commercial operations for the Canadian and Rest of World Markets.

In 2021, Ray became a member of the Canadian Generic Pharmaceutical Association’s (CGPA) Board and was elected as the Chair of CGPA in February 2023 and is currently Vice Chair.

Ray holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business.
