Dimitris Polygenis - CAPDM Board Chair, McKesson Canada

Dimitris Polygenis is President, Biopharma & Payer Solutions, McKesson Canada.  

Mr. Polygenis joined McKesson Canada in 2004, after the acquisition of Phase 4 Health. This acquisition led to the creation of our Specialty group. Under the leadership of Dimitris Polygenis, the group expanded its services to become our fastest growing business offering a wide range of services to manufacturers. Mr. Polygenis was appointed to his current role in 2014.

Prior to joining McKesson Canada, Mr. Polygenis held a position with the Ontario Round Table on Appropriate Prescribing (ORTAP) at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences in Ontario (ICES). He is currently Lecturer and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and University of British Columbia Doctor of Pharmacy Programs and Board Chair of a not-for-profit educational institution.

Mr. Polygenis holds a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Toronto.

Daniel Chiasson, Kohl & Frisch Limited

Daniel Chiasson, SVP, Manufacturer Relations and Regulatory Affairs, Kohl & Frisch

Daniel Chiasson is the Senior Vice President, Manufacturer Relations and Regulatory Affairs and Kohl & Frisch. He provides strategic guidance on managing a wide range of product categories, and ensures compliance with Health Canada’s GMP regulations applied to wholesalers and distributors. Dan is trusted advisor to both internal and external stakeholders, and is Kohl & Frisch’s principal contact with federal and provincial governmental bodies.

Daniel is a senior executive with deep supply chain expertise and proven leadership in driving growth, profitability, and collaboration within the healthcare and food and beverage industry sectors. Prior to joining Kohl & Frisch in 2022, Dan was President and Chief Executive Officer at the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management, a trade association focused on the pharmacy supply chain, with executive responsibility for strategic direction and implementation, stakeholder relations, and operational leadership. Prior to joining CAPDM in 2016, Daniel served as Vice President, Supply Solutions at McKesson Canada, and held senior executive roles at Shoppers Drug Mart, Cardinal Health Canada, and MDS Inc.

Daniel holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Management Sciences from the University of Ottawa.

John Targett, uniPHARM Wholesale Drugs Ltd.

John Targett, Director Purchasing & Distribution, is a skilled senior manager with expertise in Inventory Management Systems, Logistics, Purchasing and Business Intelligence. As a key member of the executive team with uniPHARM Wholesale Drugs, John oversees all areas of purchasing and distribution and is responsible for the operation of the member owned distribution center that ships products each day to independent pharmacies throughout BC, AB, and YT.

uniPHARM Wholesale Drugs Ltd. has been recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed companies and has been a Platinum member for the past 4 years.

Today, John is also actively involved in numerous strategic initiatives and has a broad range of experience in various areas of logistics, purchasing and operations.  He continues to serve on multiple CAPDM committees with other industry colleagues to improve the distribution of products to Canadians.

Karl Frank, Bayshore Specialty Rx

Karl Frank, Managing Director, Bayshore Specialty Rx

Karl has been the Managing Director of Bayshore Specialty Rx since 2011. He is a results-driven pharmacy executive with a proven track record of success in providing leadership and vision over a comprehensive array of business initiatives and vendor negotiations. He has extensive expertise in all aspects of the retail and specialty pharmacy business, including: pharmacy technology, legislation, risk management, pharmacy workflow design, labour management, clinical program development, pharmacy acquisitions, medical clinic development, vendor management and negotiation, marketing, and operations.

Over the years, he has built a strong network of relationships and partnerships in the North American Healthcare industry. Prior to his current position, Karl was the Vice President, Pharmacy Merchandising and Vice President of Pharmacy Operations for Loblaw Companies.

Karl has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and is a member of the Ontario Pharmacists’ Association and the British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario Colleges of Pharmacists, is the past chair of the Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada, and a Canadian Healthcare Marketing Hall of Fame inductee.

Tanya Moore, Shoppers Drug Mart Inc.

Tanya Moore, Vice-President, Pharmaceutical Partnerships, Shoppers Drug Mart Inc.

Tanya Moore has spent the last fifteen years in the healthcare sector, specifically with Shoppers Drug Mart. Occupying many senior roles, Tanya has gained valuable insights into procurement, distribution, operations, insurance, strategy and pricing. Harnessing this broad background, Tanya brings a deep understanding of the pharmacy supply chain to her role on the CAPDM board as well as being a standing member on the GS1 Healthcare Pharmacy board.

Peter Bromley, Andlauer Healthcare Group

Peter Bromley, Chief Financial Officer, Andlauer Healthcare Group

Peter joined AHG in 2019 after a 25-year career with UPS Supply Chain Solutions. He began his UPS career by joining the finance team of Livingston, Inc. – a private Canadian logistics provider which was acquired by UPS in 2000. In the following years, Peter served as Vice President Operations in Canada for UPS before relocating to Europe in 2005. There, he managed various functions for the logistics and distribution product for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In 2009, he began to focus on the first healthcare clients in UPS Europe’s inaugural healthcare distribution centre and would continue on to become Managing Director for UPS Supply Chain Solutions back in Canada.

Peter is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

Angelique Berg, President & CEO, CAPDM

Angelique Berg is a business development leader harnessing over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and not-for-profit health sectors.  Angelique brings expertise in revenue growth, government and stakeholder relations, and strategic communications at the executive level of leading health organizations, including the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation, Diabetes Canada, and Hypertension Canada.

In addition to building high performing teams and creating award-winning programs, she has a proven track record in driving sustainable growth and innovation to inspire change. Angelique has served on multi-sector collaborations that accelerated health care system and patient care improvements, including the Wait Times Alliance, the Bone and Joint Decade Canada, Health Quality Ontario’s Hypertension Quality Standard Advisory Committee, and Health Canada’s Multi-Stakeholder Committee on Drug Shortages.

She also served on the board of the Best Medicines Coalition, and for over 10 years as a member of the Health Charities Coalition of Canada.

Joan Lee, Imperial Distributors Canada Inc.

Joan Lee is VP Sales & Supply Chain with Imperial Distributors Canada Inc. and brings over 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical wholesale distribution, procurement and sales.

She is a member of Imperial’s Leadership Team working closely with stakeholders to formulate strategic objectives and build long-term partnerships. Joan proactively develops a deep understanding of the business landscape and identifies value added opportunities and facilitates implementation. Her reputation is predicated on a track record of achieving results.

Prior to joining Imperial in 2022, Joan held senior executive and management positions in Western Canada with two other leading national pharmaceutical wholesale distributors.

Guy Payette, Innomar Strategies

Guy Payette, President of Innomar Strategies and Biopharma Services North America, Cencora

In 2001, Guy Payette had a vision of changing the specialty pharmaceutical marketplace and he created Innomar—Innovative Market Access. The result of his commitment to helping patients navigate the Canadian healthcare system was the first integrated model for specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers. Today, Guy is the president of Innomar Strategies and Biopharma Services North America, Cencora, which includes HealthForward, and Cameron Stewart LifeScience, and is an expert in the Canadian specialty pharmaceutical commercialization journey.
 
Guy leads the team of over 5,000 associates across North America who are focused on delivering customized commercialization solutions to pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device manufacturers. In 2009, he led the acquisition of Innomar to AmerisourceBergen, further broadening its capabilities and global network. In 2012, he started HealthForward, a company focused on optimizing health outcomes and access to therapy for patients while helping payers and plan sponsors achieve long-term sustainability in their drug plans. Before founding Innomar, Guy spent 12 years with Boehringer Ingelheim in senior sales, market access, marketing, and government relations roles.
 
With 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Guy’s insight on emerging issues in the Canadian healthcare environment provide guidance for policy makers and other industry stakeholders. Throughout his career, Guy has been a champion for improved access to medication for Canadian patients.

Michel Robidoux, Sandoz Canada

Michel Robidoux has been President and General Manager of Sandoz Canada since 2010. He has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical equipment industries.
 

Under his leadership, Sandoz Canada has grown to become one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the country with more than 60 million prescriptions per year of generic and biosimilar products. Sandoz is among the Top 35 Employers in Montreal and among the “Best Place to Work” companies in the country.

Mr. Robidoux began his sales and marketing career at Bayer Canada for more than seven years and then held senior positions at Roche in the Diabetes Care, Clinical Diagnostics and Applied Science Divisions.

He is an active contributor to the Canadian pharmaceutical industry as a member of the Canadian Generic Pharmaceutical Association (CGPA), Chair of Biosimilar Canada and a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Pharmaceutical Supply Management (CAPDM).

Mr. Robidoux holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the Université du Québec in Montreal and has an A.S.C. (certified company administrator) designation from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés of Université Laval.
