David W. Johnston, President & CEO

David W. Johnston is President & CEO of the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management (CAPDM). David works with the CAPDM Board of Directors to drive the strategic and tactical directions of the Association - tracking emerging issues, technology, as well as leading-edge strategies for member products and services. He is also an advocate for CAPDM on government and regulatory issues.

Prior to joining CAPDM, David served as Vice President, Community and Donor Programs, Marketing and Revenue with the Heart and Stroke Foundation from 1998 to 2006. He was responsible for national marketing, leading the brand messaging strategy to individual and corporate donors, as well as managing a large field team.

David spent the first fifteen years of his career in the pharmaceutical industry in a variety of senior sales and marketing leadership roles with Nordic Labs, Marion Merrell Dow, and Hoechst Marion Roussel, Canada. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph.

Allan Reynolds, Vice President, Industry and Member Relations

Allan Reynolds is Vice President, Industry and Member Relations of the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management (CAPDM). Allan interacts with the CAPDM Board and Members, as well as external stakeholders. Working across the pharmacy supply chain nationally, Allan assists the Association in building and maintaining consensus positions on key industry issues, developing content and focus of education programs, and managing communications to increase understanding of and support for CAPDM's role.

Before joining CAPDM, Allan was Vice President, Corporate Communications with two international public affairs firms for over 25 years. His consulting experience encompassed a wide variety of business-to-business communications, community relations, issues management, media relations, internal communications and government relations on behalf of associations, governments, not-for-profit groups and companies, including major pharmaceutical and retail organizations. Prior to this, Allan was a business reporter and editor for several years.

Allan serves on the Board of Directors of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and Anaphylaxis Canada. He has also been active on Toronto Board of Trade committees and on the executive of the International Association of Business Communicators.

Allison Chan, Manager, Member Services and Events

Allison Chan joined the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management in November 1999. Prior to this, she graduated from Kensington College of Business, U.K. and worked for several years in a wholesaler/distributor company, specializing in project management and trade show organization.

Allison is responsible for financial, events and membership management for CAPDM.

Janet Warda, Administrative Assistant

Janet Warda is CAPDM's Administrative Assistant. Janet previously worked as an administrative assistant for a computer software reseller. She also worked for a national shoe and accessory retailer as a merchandiser and sales representative. Her cumulative experience has allowed her to perfect her skills in customer service and organization.
