Maria Castro

Maria Castro is the Executive Vice-President of Kohl & Frisch Limited. Maria joined Kohl & Frisch in 1991 as Director of Finance and has held various positions of increasing responsibility. Maria received her Business Degree at York University and has a CA designation, which she earned while working at Price Waterhouse. Maria was appointed Chairman of CAPDM for 2005-2006 and has been a Board member of CAPDM since 2002.
Kohl & Frisch is the only Canadian-owned national pharmaceutical distributor and is one of Canada’s largest suppliers of healthcare products to pharmacies.

Diane Daniel
GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare
Diane Daniel is currently Vice-President Finance, IT & Supply Chain with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare. Previously, she was Vice-President Integration with the Pharmaceutical division of GlaxoSmithKline and prior to the merger of Glaxo-Wellcome and SmithKliine Beecham, she was the Chief Financial Officer for the SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceutical division. Her 20-year career in the pharmaceutical industry was preceded by various financial roles within the insurance and hi-tech industries.
Diane is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). She previously served as a board member of not-for-profit organizations and has been involved in various charitable organizations at the grass-roots level.

Paul de Montigny
McKesson Canada
Paul de Montigny, Vice President Purchasing and Manufacturer Relations, is responsible for the company's purchasing, inventory management and commercial relations with manufacturers. Mr. de Montigny joined McKesson Canada in 1987 as the general director of the Montreal distribution centre. He subsequently held the functions of Director Distribution, Vice President Eastern Canada, Vice President Operations and Customer Service, and Vice President of Logistics leading up to his appointment to his current role. At various times he has also been called upon to lead the Purchasing, Information Technology and Six Sigma teams.
Prior to joining McKesson Canada, Mr. de Montigny occupied several managerial positions at Michelin Tires Canada, and began his career at Johnson & Johnson.
Mr. Paul de Montigny was awarded the PRIX DE L'ACADÉMIE DE LA PERFORMANCEmd in the Logistics category in February 2005. Elected by a jury, Mr. de Montigny was celebrated for his knowledge, his achievements, his integrity and his distinct reputation.
Mr. de Montigny holds a Bachelor degree in Science and Industrial Engineering from the École Polytechnique de Montréal.

Derek Desrosiers

Derek Desrosiers
is the Chief Executive Officer at uniPHARM Wholesale Drugs Ltd. and represents uniPHARM with respect to
economic and professional practice issues to both provincial and federal government drug plan programs as
well as private third party payer agencies. He has overall responsibility for uniPHARM's business
development activities and the Medicine Centre banner program of uniPHARM.
Mr. Desrosiers has extensive experience with many current reimbursement issues in pharmacy practice in British Columbia and has 13 years experience as a patient care community pharmacist. Prior to his current position, Mr. Desrosiers was the Director of Pharmacy Services for the British Columbia Pharmacy Association (BCPhA).
Prior to his nomination as Chair, Mr. Desrosiers has been an active member of the CAPDM Board and has served on Committees such as Safe & Secure, Government Relations, and the Finance Committee. He has also participated on many committees and boards of directors of both provincial and national pharmacy organizations, including five terms as president of the British Columbia Pharmacy Association.
Mr. Desrosiers received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of British Columbia in 1982.

Denis Forget
AmerisourceBergen Canada
Denis Forget, Vice President, Quebec and Vendor Relations, AmerisourceBergen Canada Corporation (ABCC) has been elected to CAPDM Board of Directors.
Mr. Forget has over 25 years of experience in the distribution and marketing of pharmaceuticals and food products for national companies. At AmerisourceBergen Canada (ABCC), he is responsible for sales in the Quebec Region and for supply chain activities and vendor relations for eight Distribution Centers in Canada.
Mr. Forget has an extensive background in planning and managing structural and technological changes and had previously worked for nearly 18 years at McKesson Canada, where his principal functions were managing quantitative and qualitative inventory, ensuring products supply to customers, and establishing commercial programs to provide tools to pharmacists for efficient management.
Mr. Forget graduated from UQAM with a Bachelor in Finance and subsequently obtained a Master Degree in Business Administration. He is a member of the Association des diplômés de la maîtrise de l’UQAM.

Ron Frisch
Kohl & Frisch Limited
Kohl & Frisch Limited is an independent, family owned business established in 1916. Ron Frisch became its Chief Executive Officer in 1989. He also accepted the positions of President & Managing Director in 2001. Mr. Frisch is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BCom from the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization and a four-time appointed Chairman of the Board for CAPDM. Ron Frisch is active in the community and is involved in many charity and educational endeavours.
Kohl & Frisch Limited is the only Canadian-owned national full-line distributor.

Jean-Guy Goulet
ratiopharm
After graduating in Chemistry from Montreal University, Jean-Guy Goulet joined Technilab (now ratiopharm) in 1987 to work in Quality Control and later moved to Operations, Sales, Marketing and finally, Business Development. He rapidly moved up within the organization with increasing responsibilities and was appointed President of the Commercial division of ratiopharm Canada in 2002, based in Toronto. In 2006, Mr. Goulet became President of ratiopharm in North America after the merger of the Commercial and Technical Operations divisions of the company. Today, ratiopharm employs more than 500 people in Canada and generates approximately $500 million dollars in annual revenues.
Mr. Goulet has invested a lot of time and energy in the development and representation of the Canadian generic pharmaceutical industry as the Chairman of its Board between 2002 and 2006. He was also part of the negotiation team during the Federal patent law revisions in 1993 and 2006. He has been invited on several occasions to speak at the International Generic Pharmaceutical Association conferences.

David W. Johnston
CAPDM
David W. Johnston is President & CEO of the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management (CAPDM). David works with the CAPDM Board of Directors to drive the strategic and tactical directions of the Association - tracking emerging issues, technology, as well as leading-edge strategies for member products and services. He is also an advocate for CAPDM on government and regulatory issues.
Prior to joining CAPDM, David served as Vice President, Community and Donor Programs, Marketing and Revenue with the Heart and Stroke Foundation from 1998 to 2006. He was responsible for national marketing, leading the brand messaging strategy to individual and corporate donors, as well as managing a large field team.
David spent the first fifteen years of his career in the pharmaceutical industry in a variety of senior sales and marketing leadership roles with Nordic Labs, Marion Merrell Dow, and Hoechst Marion Roussel, Canada. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph.

Domenic Pilla
McKesson Canada
Domenic Pilla is the President of McKesson Canada, a leading provider of logistics as well as information products and services in the Canadian health care marketplace.
Domenic currently leads McKesson's overall Canadian operations, including McKesson Pharmaceutical, McKesson Logistics Solutions, McKesson Information Solutions, as well as its two pharmacy automation divisions. Previously, Domenic was McKesson Canada's Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.
Before joining McKesson Canada, Domenic was President, Canadian Operation, of RNG Group. Prior to that, he enjoyed an 18-year career at Petro Canada, his last position was Vice-President Central Region.
Domenic holds a Bachelor of Science (Chemical Engineering) degree from McGill University.
He is the former Chairman of the Board CAPDM, Governor for the Montreal Foundation for Youth, as well as a member of the following Boards: The Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation; Marie-Clarac Hospital Foundation; Arthritis Society; and member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.

Allen Van der Wee
Pfizer Canada
Allen Van der Wee was named Vice-President, Sales in April 2007. Prior to that he was Vice-President, Strategic Business Solutions, and joined the Pfizer Canada Leadership Team in June 2004.
He joined Pfizer Canada in 2000 in conjunction with Pfizer’s acquisition of Warner-Lambert, assuming the position of Director of Sales for the Quebec Region. In 2003, he added the Atlantic Region to his Sales responsibilities. He has been a key player on several important company initiatives in recent years, including Field Force Effectiveness, the creation of the Cardiovascular Resource Division and the Cardiovascular Leadership Team. Since joining the PCLT, Allen has been one of the sponsors on the Renaissance Project and the FOCUS Project.
Allen holds a Diploma in Business Administration and a BSc in Biochemistry, both from McGill University in Montreal. The first five years of his career were in the Sales division of Warner-Lambert Canada’s Parke-Davis pharmaceuticals business. He then spent two years in marketing and one year as Manager, Customer Satisfaction. In 1994 he became a member of the Parke-Davis Canada Management Team as Director of Precision Marketing. One year later he became the National Sales Director.
In the community, Allen has been soccer coach for many years and has been involved with the West Island Palliative Care Residence Foundation. Allen is married and is the father of 2 daughters. He enjoys playing golf and skiing.

Kevin Whibbs

Kevin Whibbs is Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Logistics for Shoppers Drug Mart.
Prior to joining Shoppers, Kevin was with Loblaw Companies Limited as an Industrial Engineer and Senior Operator, progressing his responsibilities within the Supply Chain and Logistics Division.
In his current role, Kevin is responsible for the inventory managment, supply and distribution of Rx and front shop merchandise to more than 1,000 Shoppers Drug Mart, Pharmaprix and Shoppers Home Health Care stores across Canada.
